Objective
In this project, I faced the task of illustrating a quote of my choosing. Subsequently, I delved into animating the quote using After Effects to add an engaging dimension for the viewer, making the reading experience more entertaining.
Process
I have a deep appreciation for the two-headed calf quote, so much so that I’ve immortalized it on my calf with a tattoo featuring a two-headed calf. I embarked on a creative journey to bring this quote to life visually. The most challenging aspect was deciding which elements to animate and how to give each component its unique movement while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic in the artwork. I intricately choreographed the typography to move independently yet harmoniously, mirroring the captivating duality of the two-headed calf.
In this animated scene, I brought the environment to life by making the flowers sway gently, creating the illusion of a cool, relaxing summer evening with a subtle breeze. To enhance the lifelike quality of the calf, I incorporated animated details such as its ears and tail in motion, ensuring it exuded a vibrant and lively presence.
Medium/Tools Used
I created the illustrations in Adobe Illustrator and animated the whole scene in After Effects.
